Elizabeth Spann Craig

Elizabeth Spann Craig grew up in Anderson, SC, where she spent most of her childhood in the county library, staggering out with books by the armful and writing her own stories at home.

Elizabeth attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and spent her junior year studying abroad in London.  There she wrote articles for Nine to Five magazine.

After graduation and marriage, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she wrote, modeled and sold ads for a local arts magazine.

She is the mother of two children and currently lives in Matthews, North Carolina.  Between juggling soccer-mom duties, refereeing preschool playgroups and being dragged along as chaperone/hostage on field trips, she dreams of dark and stormy nights beside a stack of intriguing novels with excellent opening lines.  Elizabeth’s first mystery, A Dyeing Shame: Death at the Beauty Box is scheduled for publication in January, 2006.  She is currently working on her second novel.
