Lynette Hall Hampton
Lynette Hall Hampton was born and raised in North Carolina and still lives with her cat, Jefferson. She calls North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina her second home because she owned a condo there for over twenty-five years. She says she would have never sold the place to anyone except her brother because she still gets to go. She vows that when her writing makes her rich and famous, she will buy anther home on the breach, this time one with no stairs.
Through the years, Lynette’s work has varied from a clerk in a department store to a Human Resource Manager for a large manufacturing company. She says these have been jobs to pay the bills and writing has always been her career.
She has had more than 400 articles, short stories and poetry, three children’s books published, one of which is being re-released this summer. She also has a non-fiction writing book out.
Jilted By Death, ISBN 1-5707226-5-X, published by Silver Dagger Mysteries, is her first mystery novel.
Duo of Opposites, ISBN 0-9768108-5-9, April of 2006 is the next book.
Lynette belongs to Murder We Write, the local chapter of Sisters in Crime which she founded in 1998, The National Chapter of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, SEMWA, The Crime Writers League, North Carolina Writer’s Network and Mystery Writers Forum.
She says that writing and promoting her books, working a fulltime job, and spoiling her two grandchildren keeps her busy.
