Helen Goodman

 

Helen Goodman grew up near Kalamazoo, Michigan and now lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She's a registered nurse and uses her nursing experience and medical knowledge to enhance her mysteries.
MURDER IN EDEN is Goodman's first published mystery novel.  It introduces The Fonnie Beachum Mystery Series in which a retired nurse fights crime from a wheelchair.  Fonnie is feisty, irreverent, and shrewd.  Life in a nursing home has never been more exciting and humorous as when Fonnie focuses her razor-sharp deductive powers to unravel the mystery behind a rash of deaths.  Goodman carries her readers from laughter to tears to trepidation.
The second in the series, TOXIC WASTE.  Fonnie returns home but the body of her home health aide ends up in the landfill.
