p.m.terrell is the author of the internationally acclaimed suspense/thrillers The China Conspiracy and Kickback (Drake Valley Press), as well as four non-fiction computer books published by Dow Jones and Scott-Foresman. Combining her background as a computer programmer/analyst with a writing career has resulted in suspense/thrillers that feature female computer programmers as the main characters in books that reviewers say “sing like red-hot jazz” and are “fast-paced suspense at its best”, has garnered a PBS television special, and has received press from as far away as India and China.
Originally from Washington, DC, Patricia Terrell started one of the first companies that specialized in computer software instruction in the WDC area, including the Secret Service and the CIA in her list of clientele. After retiring from that business, she became the first female President of the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers and Treasurer for the Virginia Crime Stoppers Association. She also is a cofounder of The Book ‘Em Foundation, a non-profit group whose slogan is “Buy a Book and Stop a Crook” and whose purpose is to raise awareness between high illiteracy rates and high crime rates. Their inaugural Book ‘Em Event raised more than $11,000 for literacy campaigns, attracted 52 authors from all over the world, and had approximately 2,000 attendees.
Patricia is a recent resident of North Carolina, who is looking forward to incorporating NC locales into her upcoming suspense/thrillers, which she is currently hard at work writing.
